Lilah b. Divine Duo™ Lip & Cheek Review

Random Black Friday Sale Shopping

It’s sale season again! I was on my best behavior during this Black Friday sale. I got those 2 cheek and lip duos because I need a cream blush. Well, that’s not entirely true, mainly because dermstore.com was having 30% off, and I was looking for something qualify for that discount… Here they are, sleeky and so elegant!

I do think it’s quite expensive for full price $46/2.2g. As I was doing research for this post, I see Lilah b thoughtfully provides 4 free samples on their own website, Divine Duo sampler contains 3 shades — b.real, b.fearless and b.sassy. With $7.95 shipping fee. If I knew it earlier, I probably would get all those samplers first~ I don’t regret getting them at a sale price though, they are very well made!

Dermstore: Divine Duo™ Lip & Cheek – b. real/b daring

Packaging&Product Introduction
Lilah b Divine Duo was made in Italy, came in a cardboard packaging. I wasn’t impressed when I first saw this little cardboard. But I was amazed by the product itself.

On Lilah b website(see Lilah b brand story here), they call those packagings signature “stones”, which should also be “high-performance”, and “multi-purpose”. Lila b is a Northern California based company, whose products are all made in Milan, Italy. All Lilah b. products are formulated without:

  • Gluten
  • Parabens
  • Phthalates
  • Sulfates
  • Synthetic fragrances

Vegan.
Cruelty-free.

I’m glad to see more and more companies are making natural, non-toxic cosmetics nowadays.

The product itself is sleek, smooth, quite heavy weight for such a small product. No mirror inside actual product though, it would be perfect for on the go!

Review

fullsizeoutput_29I got 2 colors, b real and b daring. I just love those names! Clever~

Packaging: It’s unique also sometimes could be a little annoying.  The ‘stone” design could be too slippery to open up if I got a little moisturizer/sunscreen on them. Just need to clean them more often than other makeups. I’d admit they are eye-catching!

Texture: From 2 Divine duos I got, they have cream to powder texture, highly pigmented, matte without any shimmers. They set on the skin and lips super fast, I have to blend it one side a time and move fast, otherwise, those colors won’t blend well.Buildable pigmentation. I feel they are more pigmented on bare skin than on top of foundations.

When on cheeks, they last a good 4-5 hours without fading, but easy to take off with just micellar water.

When on lips, they are not as dry as matte lipsticks, not as moist as a lip balm either but good enough. 2 layers for a more lipstick effect.

b.real is a light pink, mistake-free everyday blush, from office to grocery store, it will always be appropriate. b.real goes better on cheeks than on lips. It’s quite pale on lips, But if you’re into pale nude lipsticks, this is the one!

b.daring is an orange-red, more on the orange side. It’s bright and passionate. It goes better on lips than on cheeks. A little too pigmented for blush, but if you do enjoy a good orange-red blush, this is the one!

Overall, I really enjoy using those cheeks and lips duo! Every time I use them it feels like a treat, what I like them the most is they look luxurious, but still very practical.

Thank you for reading my post!❤️
